Learning Journey

We went to the National Museum and the Art Museum this Wednesday. After the learning journey, I have many opinions about Chinese traditional literature and the art in Singapore. In consideration of artistry, Chinese traditional literature may be more visual, pretty and easy to understand. However, taking the thought of the art into consideration, the picture and other art works are more open-minded and free. For example, I saw the artist drawing a picture on the spot when I was in the Chinese National Museum and the bamboo he draw was really vivid and I admired his skill very much. Actually, just in a few minutes, a lively and picturesque picture of bamboo was finished in front of my eyes. However, art works in Singapore are not as well as those in China. Nonetheless, art works in Singapore, especially in the Art Museum, they are pretty unrestrained and open-minded. For example, there are lots of picture in which there is someone was killed with maltreatment, which cannot be seen in China in most situations. In fact, more than half of the pictures I saw in the Art Museum are about killing with maltreatment or sex, which is completely different from China. Thus, from this learning journey, I know more about the difference of culture between China and Singapore, and this learning journey makes me know about Singapore more profoundly. I like this learning journey.

  3. Yes, I agree. The museums here are much different from those in China. Museums here are really open-minded, I still cannot understand some of the exhibits, but they are still arts created by the open-minded artists, aren't they?

  4. Yes, Dr.Wu' works are very attractive and full of mean, but simple as well. Traditional Chinese art work is popular among the world nowadays, which is very inspiring. I think once the foreigner start to observe and admire Chinese art work, they will know Chinese culture better, and fall in love with the beautiful works.

  5. Yes, I don't think we can find the similar art work in Chinese museum because some of these art works are a little bit extreme and radical, but I don't think it is unnecessary for them to exist either.
