I am not a person who can be irritated easily. I won't say that I am a liberal person, but I seldom get angry. Just as I said in another post in this blog, when one is angry, he or she will leave a bad impression on others, which is no good. However, I was badly infuriated these few days. It is because of the way we are treated. Only because of some other people's fault, I, together with all the other students in Eton Hell, am required to copy the Eton handbook. I just cannot figure out any logic from this request. WHY ARE PEOPLE BEHAVING WELL PENALIZED? All we learn, from the time we were born, is that if you make a mistake, you will be punished, but now we are punished for NOTHING? Why? What's wrong with their mind? It is really insane. What's more, we are asked to copy the handbook NEATLY, WITH A PEN INSTEAD OF A PENCIL. What are they doing? What do they think we are doing? At first, I refused to do so, but last night, I copied it .That is because I had nothing to do last night and I was successfully persuaded by someone. Take your time to judge me, because I hate people who do not keep promises. I copied it really fast, using a pencil, so no doubt it was a mess, but I won't copy a second time, whether the management thinks my handwriting is acceptable or not. I won't waste my time entertaining those jackasses again.
Some people may wonder whether I will break my promise again. What I want to say is, I don not know, either. Let us just wait and see.
In my opinion, it is time to protect our human right. I won't copy the handbook. It is no our fault and Eton hall don't the right to punish us.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how they punish me if don't copy, I won't copy it.
All right, calm down first. Maybe one day all of us will accept this kind of thing without any arguments.I hope we still own the energy and courage to fight for our rights.
ReplyDeleteMaybe now we have win this fight. At least now MOE has known it. And the copy of the handbook you write maybe can sell to others at a good price. So no need to be upset.
ReplyDeleteActually,I am envying you. After seeing so many scholars' anger, I feel I am old already. I donnot what to spend my time to get angry because in my mind, I know may be that will be vain. But I think youth should have this enthusiasm, sometimes. Well, what is most attract me in this post is, how can you be persuaded?
ReplyDeleteI have the similar feeling just like you. Now looking back, we can find that the fact is the officer of Eton Hall was bluffing us at that time, and now we do not need to copy the handbook anymore.
ReplyDeleteIn my view, you just need to do your best and that's enough.
punishing all for one's mistakes is a common deterrent used in the Singapore army as well. It is meant to shame the wrongdoer and also partly to foster some kind of team spirit. I'm sorry to hear about the punishment!
