As I mentioned in my former blog, I am a man who have a passion for basketball. I love everything related to basketball especially NBA.
Referring to NBA, I believe that you will think of Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant immediately. However, here, I prefer to introduce a little basic knowledge of the American National Basketball Association.
1. System
NBA is split into two parts - The eastern conference and western conference containing fifteen teams each. And, these fifteen teams are divided into three divisions, which mean that every division has five teams. The six divisions are Atlantic, Central, Southeast, Northeast, Pacific and Southwest division.

2. Regular season
Regular season is from November to the next year’ early April. Each team plays 82 regular season games, half home and half away from home. Each team plays four games (two home, two away) against every team in its own division and two games (one home, one away) against every team in the other conference. Besides, each team will play four games against six teams from the different divisions but the same conference and play three games against with the last four teams. Totally, each team should play 82 regular season games.
3. Playoff
NBA Playoffs begin in late April, with eight teams in each conference going for the Championship. The best eight teams in each conference can take part in the Playoff. Their rank will depend on their regular season record. Because the first seed begins the playoffs playing against the eighth seed, the second seed plays the seventh seed, the third seed plays the sixth seed, and the fourth seed plays the fifth seed, having a higher seed means a team faces a weaker team in the first round. And the team with better record has a home court advantage. Which team wins four games first will go into the next round, and the other team will be knocked out. The final playoff round, between the victors of both conferences, is known as the NBA Finals, and is held in early June. The winner in NBA Finals wins the Final champion.
