At the Beginning of a New Term

Yesterday was the first school after the recess. It just slipped away before I noticed that. When I stepped into the classroom, instead of feeling any differently, it was like starting the class again after the weekend. Ms Moh Keng threw these questions to us: “What did you do during the recess? Did anyone do anything interesting?” In contrast to her typical enthusiastic way of raising questions, I could only give a blank stare as response. It really took some efforts to revive things I did during the last week. However, besides the barbeque I failed to come up with anything that could correspond with “interesting”. The memory of the one-week recess has already been blurring, although it just came to an end. Quite strange, wasn’t it?
At first I was a bit disappointed about the initial idea that my recess week was not fascinating. However, when it occurred to me that the break pasted by before I could noticed, I realized that in fact it was not that bad; at least I did not feel that time was lingering. After recollecting for a few seconds, I felt that the last week was quite rich. My classmates and I had a good time on the east coast on Tuesday. In addition, I avoid being thrown into the water successfully, which was indeed a relief. The symphony concert in Esplanade on the Thursday was overwhelming. Besides, the shopping and swimming were also quite enjoyable.
Maybe sometimes we only feel disappointed about a period of time because we have not thought it over. Actually there will always be something worth appreciation. As this is the beginning of a new term, I suppose it is the time to start producing what we can appreciate at the end of the session.

  1. The new term...The last term of our bridging course English study..Right?
After that, we will really use English every day. It seems a new big challenge to us. So we should study hard this term!!~

  2. I think that you were very lucky when we had barbecue on the east coast, but I promise you will be thrown into the sea next time. Of course, we should do something meaningful in the new term, like the final project. Anyway, I would try my best to assist our group to accomplish the research.
