The life I am looking forward to
Yesterday, nine of the sm3 students and two local students went to a host family's home to have dinner together. After spending about an hour's time on the way to their family, finally we came to a villa which is near to the Parry Hall.
When we got into the room, there were still some soft music being played. The first feeling I had was that it is so comfortable to stay there. When all the students arrived, we played some games and then took some photos together. At about six o'clock, we had the dinner. After that, we chatted with each other for a long time--I even learn about that the form of the English test questions we have when we are in senior high school are similar to the test questions the local students have when they are in elementary school.
Though I just meet this host family for the first time, I can feel that they live happily. The man had ever been to almost all the places in China. He told us that this year he wanted to relax himself because he didn't want to give himself too much pressure. I think it is a possitive attitude towards life. I am also concerned that the happiest thing in the world may just be living in the way you want.
I still hope that there will be one day that I can live the life by the way I like. Every day, after dinner, I can go for a walk in a park. Every time I get home, I can play some soft music. When holiday comes, I can go to different kinds of countries to enjoy my holiday. Maybe this kind of cosy life will be fine for me at all. I also believe that everything will come true in the future.
It was very nice to meet you in ancle's house last Saturday, and I sure that everyone had a good time there. Our host families' kindness was really impressive, and I also learned a lot from their attitude towards life .
ReplyDeleteI`m glad you have opportunities to meet Singaporeans and also some of your classmates for informal gatherings like this. I agree with you--sometimes the happiest things in life are just doing the simplest activities. We need to slow down in this fast-paced world and appreciate what is around us. Living busy lives simply make us oblivious to everything beautiful around us.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your post, I suddenly feel content about being a student. As you said, we want to live the life by the way you like. As a student, we have time and energy to do what we want, and we have the right to choose our life style. Maybe, this period of time is really the most free and happiest in our life. It is the time to pursue our dreams, to broaden our horizon, to have a sketch of the whole world.
