Follow their hearts

Last Sunday all of us went to the final of a music competition. I was deeply impressed by the musicians' affection and devotion to art. Many people are into certain areas like art and sports; however, most of us just keep them as hobbies. Only a few have the courage to follow their heart and dive into them. At that night, watching the performers showing their work as well as their love for music, I could felt their happiness.

Young people are always being persuaded to conform. Moreover, sometimes we also persuade ourselves "to be down to the earth". We are convinced that no matter how wonderful the fantasy seems to be, we should focus on reality. Many people harbour the fear that if they take their hobby seriously their own life will suffer; they dare not to go too far.

Under the spot light, they were controlling their life. Though they were performing in a competition, I think they were performing for themselves. Since it was a contest, there would always been wins and losers. One of the competitors won four prices while some of them came back with “nothing”. However, as long as they were pursuing their dream and performing with confidence, the musicians have already broken the restrictions and followed the hearts.

  1. I love singing, and I even want to participate in this competition even though I cannot write a song. The perception of performing in the stage is really great. We should be courageous to chase our dream, and we also should realize what we should chase.

  2. You're right, it really takes courage to follow our hearts. Kudos to those musicians!

It would be better organization if you had placed the 2nd paragraph after the sentence that only a few follow their heart and dive into them, then continue on what happened that night. Also, it should be 'down to earth'. Remember to check for spelling errors, like 'prizes' instead of 'prices'.
