The American Past

It is a movie my friends described as "underworld film",threatening and not recommended. But what their suggestion does is arousing my curiosity. So I sneaked to watch it over.It was beyond my expectations.
A gang of boys form a group doing bad things to make money.Thet arson, rob, grove almost everything they can imagine. No wonder they kill people, revenge politans, deceive to make a fortune greedily after they grow up.Time passes by quickly, when they become old,two of them are killed bythe cops for selling drugs, one of them, Max, escapes and becomes a secretary who's in trouble in the end. The hero, "noodles", is not engaged in what other guys do after his best friend Max's betray, who intends to kill himself by robbing the bank, but it fails. Max regrets for what he did to Noodles, since he owns all the fame and fortune that ought to have belonged to Noodles.35years passed, when Max invites David to his party and requests David to kill him for what he have done. Noodles refused.
The movie goes with the memory of old Noodles, and I watch the guys' tough childhood,I watch them dominate rivals by killing cruelly and deceiting, which bring them a big buck. I watch old David's slow memory and complex emotions.Their whole experience really cannot be described in one word or two. The movie lives up to its name indeed, because it reflects the period of time America witnessed via the guys' life.It touches me.
