Yesterday I had dinner with many students from my high school. It was amazing that twelve schoolmates met together in another country. We spoke our dialect, talked about our old friends and teachers. All the things made us feel familiar. In addition, we discussed about our academic work and majors. I learnt a lot of different experiences and stories of students from NTU or other grades. We had a good time laughing and chatting.
After dinner, we went to city hall. To our surprise, there was a exhibition called Charming Nanjing (the city we came from!!). We got really excited because our hometown Nanjing is not the most well-known cities in China . However, in our minds, it is so unique and livable that we are all concerned about it most wherever we go. It was really a nice experience that we saw those familiar Nanjing-style trinkets, spoke Nanjing dialect and talked about everything in Nanjing . Looking at the pictures on the wall, we felt proud of the long history, cultural reserve and scenic environment of our hometown.
Meanwhile, I realized how much I miss my hometown. I’m even looking forward to the long holiday in December. Of course, I have to enjoy life in Singapore at this current time.
By the way, our host family invites us to have fun together in this weekend. ^^. They are so enthusiastic that make us envied. .
may you happy all the time! I think that you should make friends with some new guys who are from different places with you.
