Memory

The most unforgetable month of my life has passed,I'm here to make pearls of memory into a necklaceto memorise my precious days.
For the first time,I waved to my parents with tears in my eyes to get on a plane;I left my motherland to an unknown place with peers who also started their independent student lives.Carrying heavy luggages, with young beating hearts,we were both excited and at a loss.
In this minute country,we listen to people from different countries speaking the same Singlish in the beautifully decorated streets;we learn how to adapt to western cuisine which is strange to us;we try to get used to the high price of everything in the markets reading English lables;we experience the sweet and bitterness in the foreign country with the same comfort words to our parents on the phone at night. We've grown up to rely on ourselves,to have obligations on our shoulders. We are making our own future.
Yes,here I am,no more delicate,no more brittle.I have to be tough. That's the order of life.
Yes,here I am,with precious memory deep inside which will never fade away.Tomorrow maybe grey, but I'll walk on and on.

  1. This is my second sofa so far.
You are just like Jane, and all of us.Leaving our country is kind of awful.I think, when you are writing this article, your feeling is just like that of the time you left, right?
    But we are together.
Many Years Later, when you look back at the time you spend here, you will also find a necklace of pearls.

  2. We are a family.Together we will be for 5 years. No matter what obstacles and barriers we would come across,we will be there for you. So,there is no need to be so emotional about what you have lost.Try to look forward is always the way to the destination.
